Word Riot

My short-short Goodbye, Wynona is up in the new issue of Word Riot.

"She’d left me a note on the kitchen counter. Neatly printed on a sheet of yellow lined paper, it read: This isn’t working. I’ve moved back home. Goodbye, Wynona. Below her name stretched a ladder of blank lines and finally a red lipstick kiss."

There's a lot of good stuff over there, and I encourage you to poke around. I've particularly enjoyed work by Gary Percesepe in both the current and previous issues.

I'd like to thank the fiction editor, Kevin O'Cuinn, for his feedback and acceptance of the story.

  1. Congrats on getting this piece out there into the world. I've been repeatedly rejected by Wordriot myself, so I'm glad real living human beings actually get pieces in there ... like the spare feel of the piece, too.
